About Us

Hey, I'm Petra — the founder of Friends Of Mine. Raised in New Zealand, a very proud Kiwi, I recently moved over to Sydney and have become absolutely in awe of the unique and limitless fashion here! However, I could never quite find the bag I was picturing in my head. So I made it myself.

I've got a soft spot for Indonesia and its craftsmanship, which led me to team up with a family-run business over there to bring these pieces to life — each one handcrafted, each one a little different (that's the beauty of real cowhide). I really do hope you love them as much as I do.

Friends Of is inspired by the incredible women I have around me that I am lucky enough to call friends of mine. The women who make a good day great, who have shaped the way I move through the world, those who I’d choose time and time again. Designed for girls night, the daily commute, a last minute dinner and all the times in between!
